Hey, it's cheaper than buying the back issues especially through instocktrades.

You are right about that. My brother used to laugh at me for choosing a guy that never won. That is actually what made Annihilation special (and the rest of DnA's run). I could brag to my brother about how Nova was no longer everybody's chump. He had done far more than defeat a few street thugs. He had saved the universe and protected peoples of different planets.

Loeb is writing Nova....First issue...Nova goes and punches Gladiator so hard he flies into the heart of a sun....then hits Galactus so he hard in the tummy he gets an aneurysm.
Last page of comic he is confronted by The 70's X-Men complete with Phoenix.

I loved the last run of both GotG and Nova. What worries me is that both were some of the best comics Marvel were producing at the time and still got cancelled. Hopefully the new creative teams bring new readers with them.

That said, I won't be buying the Nova book. Loeb just doesn't do it for me. I still hope its successful because if it and GotG do well maybe we'll get another cosmic title. Cannot wait for Guardians though, even if, like somebody said, Groot looks like a Christmas tree.

    1) Way to stick it to your comic store. They must love you there.

    2) Why do you even bother reading/stealing stuff you know you won't like? Are you a masochist?

Love to see Surfer get another ongoing, but I say give it back to Marz and Lim. Those two saw the Surfer through his last great run and the nostalgia factor alone would draw in older fans along with newer fans who just think Surfer is cool (cos everyone thinks Surfer is cool, he's silver and has a surf board, he's the epitome of cool).

Why does the validity of the point change based on purchase or not?

So there is no way to stick it to Marvel? They are completely immune?

Hahahaha! This is absolutely cracked. You do realize you sound completely nuts here, right? Please tell me you're at least half sarcastic with all of this bluster.

You know as well as anyone that once the store purchases something, the only one suffering from its theft is the store. If you truly want to "stick it to Marvel," for whatever reason, the store has to order fewer copies. You stealing it off the rack won't make that happen.

You are not a war correspondent, nor a freedom fighter. I think you have an issue with the notion of scale.

The second sentence which you ignored is the less cracked version.

No. You just don't buy the book. Feigning disinterest and enjoying the book anyhow while not paying for it says more about your lack of morality than anything about Marvel.

It's entirely up to you though here. Just realize that there is nothing noble in your proposed course of action here.
