    it's kinda amazing that Adlard's been drawing this book for 100 issues. no one does that anymore.

    Definitely a rarity these days. Who else is in that club?

    Erik Larsen with The Savage Dragon - 184 and counting.

    Mark Bagley with Ultimate Spider-Man - 111 consecutive issues (not including the Death of Spider-Man stuff).


    I'm sure there's more. Those were just off the top of my head.

    in mainstream comics almost nobody does it. almost nobody has.

    I'm surprised the comics news circuit hasn't made a bigger deal about it.

    Fred Perry (GOLD DIGGER) 195 issues, plus specials.

    Stan Sakai (USAGI YOJIMBO): 204 issues.

    Note that they are the writers as well. And those books are ongoing.

    If you include writer/artist teams:

    Dave Sim/Gerhart: 300 issues of Cerebus.

    Mark Evanier/Sergio Aragones: 170 issues of Groo the Wanderer.

    He's done somewhere in the 85 to 90 issue range. But not continuous as Cory Walker has come back for a couple issues here and there. Still an impressive run on one title though (and one I hope continues for a long, long time).

    Totally agree with this and I believe it has benefitted the book dramatically. I can't imagine WD with a rotation of artists. The consistency has been a hallmark of the book for me.
