    Default Cataclysm

Is this worth reading, and will DC re-release the collection since No Man's Land was redone?

Not worth reading, not likely to be released again.

I disagree; I enjoyed it. Not a classic or anything, but an enjoyable story. It weaves itself through the various bat-titles of the time. I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for a new printing though.

I enjoyed it, its the start of No Man's Land.
What is this, Horseville? Because I'm surrounded by naysayers.

    It's kind of mediocre.

Eh, not really. It indirectly sets up NML, but to say "start of" is probably misleading.

I enjoyed it, but defiantly not in my top favorite list
However if you haven't read NML then cataclysm is something good to read prior to it.

I actually wouldn't mind cataclysm/no man's land being 'remade' by one writer/artist team and put out in graphic novel format

NML is of much higher quality and can be read independently without Cataclysm. It seems unlikely that DC will reprint Cataclysm anytime soon, and I wouldn't recommend going to great lengths to track it down unless you can find it somewhere cheap.
DC: Batman, Batman Incorporated, Batwoman, Wonder Woman.
    Marvel: Daredevil, Hawkeye.
    Other: Fables, Fatale, Saga.

Thanks guys. I have seen copies of the tpb on eBay, but I'm not shelling out $69.

I recently started reading this whole thing (Cataclysm/Aftershock/NML) and am just on NML now. I would say I skimmed a good half of both the first parts of the trio. :/ Interesting how long this whole thing lasted and some nice confrontations/reactions to the disaster, but nothing sensational.

I've just read Cataclysm a few days ago. It's not really bad but it's not really good. Definitely enjoyable to some extent though.

I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't get the original issues cheaper than that.

I liked it. A natural disaster , no villains involved (although some tried to claim credit). Chaos and anarky reign.
