    Default Suggestions?

Ok, so Im SOMEWHAT new to comics, but have been collecting them for years if that makes any sense? I was hoping you guys could steer me in the right direction for some really good story arcs? A few that I have read that I really enjoyed are "Battle for the Cowl", Hush, The Onslaught Series, Infinite Crisis, Darkest Knight, Batman No Mans Land.

Somethings that I would be really interested in would be anything Marvel as I have not read hardly any, I also like the concept of Doctor Strange quite a bit. Thanks.

Besides comics, what do you like? What movies, tv shows, books, etc?

Well I have a very broad spectrum of things that I like. But if I was going to narrow it down, for movies/tv Im definately a scifi fan. Tron, Starwars/Star Trek, Aliens, etc. etc. Favorite books would definately be LOTR series and The Dark Elf trilogy by RA Salvatore.

Are you only interested in superheroes, or are you open to others?

I'd recommend Dr Strange: The Oath, Daredevil: Born Again, Elric: The Balance Lost (fantasy and sci-fi), anything Conan from Dark Horse (probably best to start with Kurt Busiek's run), Batman, Inc.

Grant Morrison's new book Happy is pretty good.

I also recommend Conan. I've read 8 of the trades and most are pretty high quality and fun.

Usagi Yojimbo is excellent, but may not be for you if you can't get past the anthropomorphic rabbit samurai part. I have found the writing and characterization to be consistently excellent.

For comics with fantasy yet mature themes, if you haven't read Sandman, that another title withe multiple trades that I am pretty sure you'd enjoy.

In that case, I would recommend The Unwritten, Marvel 1602, Invincible, Sweet Tooth, American Vampire, Y: The Last Man, and Sandman (if you haven't read that already)

Sci-fi? Go with Brian K. Vaughan & Fiona Staples' current series Saga, as well as Alan Moore & Ian Gibson's classic The Ballad Of Halo Jones.

I gave the dark elf trilogy to my brother as a gift one year, he got really into RA Salvatore. He's also into George R. R. Martin and Robert Jordan. All three authors have graphic novels made from their works, maybe that's something you'd be interested in?

These two plus Storm Dogs and Elephantmen.

Other strong series are Hellblazer and Morning Glories.

From Marvel - Runaways (the Brian Vaughan run).

For completed stories - Daytripper and Asterios Polyp.
