The New Warriors aren't going to be getting a cartoon...or anything, really, anytime soon. They haven't found a way to get that concept to work since the 90's, and with the increased synergy we've been seeing with Marvel and Marvel Studios, no way are they gonna give them a TV show.

Yeah I know, I was talking about active Young Avengers, but Patriot's main inspiration was his grandfather who was the unknown/recognized Super Soldier from the Truth mini about the government doing testings on black soldiers during the war. But that aspect of the story is one of the reasons I have doubts on a YA cartoon ever being made, the franchise is deeply tied with more mature storylines along with not being aimed at kids. You can change stories up maybe even the characters, but even completely changing what makes the brand Young Avengers in tone, it doesn't mean someone won't pick up the comic or hear about them and get in hissy fit over a storyline that may or may not wind up in the cartoon. Almost all cartoons, even those with superb writing, still has to aim at being all ages for kids and stuff parents wouldn't mind letting their kids watch.

YA has a better chance of being a live action show in the vein of Arrow or Smallsville then a cartoon, especially with a major family entertainment company like Disney being the one they would probably wind up releasing it on. As a cartoon you'd have to wind up dancing around the stories that made fans love the franchise because of getting it into the all ages range or simplify the stories so that kids with no comic experience can understand.
