Same Day: Batgirl, Supergirl, WW, DemonK, JLD, Dial H, Earth 2, SoS
Maybe Later: Action, GL, Aqua, DCUP, Titans, Firestorm, Animal, Swampy, Batwoman, Worlds F, JL, Flash, PhantomS, BoP, GL: NG
I know that the writer suggested he'd be dealing with the ethics of being on such a black-ops team as this--how has that been going? At least it would be addressing some of the moral issues of the current DCU.
Unfortunately this isn't a big flashy superhero book. It's a military black-ops teams which means no flashy costumes. It's not for everyone. Even with characters that will someday wear flashy costumes, it's getting sales numbers like Blackhawks (another military black ops team book which got cancelled at issue 8)
Well their certainly is plenty of action and some suspense. I am enjoying the title but their are certain aspects that could be better with art being the #1 thing that I think would help elevate this book a lot more as its pretty generic right now and, imo, each issue is getting a bit worse on the art front. Get someone like CAFU to do the art and I think the book will be better for it. The second issue for me is the balancing character act that Justin Jordan has to do. He has the herculean task of having each character be distinct from the other and unlike say the Justice League where you have your clear definition of characters based on appearance, powers, etc, here we are talking about different dimensions of the black ops/military characters which is by far harder to do. He's given each character their own distinct attributes and purpose on the team (and in some cases allude to possible future storylines down the road), but given the route he's been going, introducing the entire cast in the same issue (issue 0) and keeping them together ever since, each character has to be given some dialog or do something instead of having the team separate into groups and learn about the characters and interactions that way. I'm assuming this first arc is just to set up the pieces and is busy as is because of it, but hopefully future arcs will give Jordan a breather and break the team to smaller groups so we can get to know them better and I think can play to Jordan's strength.
I think it also depends on how much of a fan you are of certain characters like Grifter or Deathstroke whom I like their characters here a good deal and Black Canary is pretty good too. As time goes on we might see that Jordan does a better job in the Deathstroke solo (he did a great job with his debut on issue 15) than in this because he might be a better writer for solo books (Luther Strode also has a somewhat small cast too) than team books, but hopefully as I said, once the first arc is over, he'll get the breather with Team 7 with regard to the characters and not have almost every character appear in every issue.
I say give issue 0 and 1 a shot and see if you like it and continue from there if you do.
I love the concept of this book but the issues have been just ok so far. Though issue 3 was great!
I was tempted. I always loved books like Secret Origins, Legends of the Dark Knight, Legends of the DCU, Man of Steel, Man for all Seasons, Batman year 1, JLA Year 1, etc. that explored the heroes early days, and was interested in seeing that in the DCNu time line, plus I haven't been getting Birds of Prey and wanted to get something with Black Canary: the other shafted JL founder. I got #0 and it wasn't bad, but I found it pretty "meh"...and wasn't big on Dinah as a gun toting secret agent.
I assume you mean the cliche 90 books, not triangle era Superman, Morrison JLA, Busiek/Perez Avengers, Kingdom Come, Marvels, Astro City, 3/4s of Vertigo, DCAU books...
Pull List; seems to be too long to fit in my sig...
I think he meant the actual Team 7 books from the 90s.
I'm digging the series. It picks up at issue 2, which really started the Eclipso story.
Its got some interesting personalities. But overall, I'd have to say I don't really care for much of the cast. Dinah and Amanda I'm interested in. Some with Lance and that's really only his connection with Dinah. Lots of action without making me care what happens to most those involved. Most of them have futures so we know no death but I have to say I'm disappointed how dull it all seems. I think the thing that going to be the most interesting to read about is the look to the past and not the people who lived it. So far. I'm hopeful its going to find its groove for me and it will make me care more for the rest of the team than they have so far.
Well I finally found my book in DC's New 52. It took a long while!
I just read TEAM 7 #0-2. It's awsome, and it's my new favorite DC comic!
It's a wild book with tons of action. It truly is wild. Its got characters from all over Wildstorm and DC. And it does stuff that other books don't do. It goes all over the place. Plus all of the stories that fans have to look forward to that are going to be told in this book. And later the book does past stories and present day stories. This book just has everything. The opeing story arc starts with Eclipso. That is just...as I said earlier...WILD!!!
TEAM 7 RULES!!!!!![]()

You're Pandora, I thought you'd know. j/k
Seriously though, it's a good book. It's really starting to find it's footing in the latest issue #3. I also like that coming up they'll be splitting the story with half in the past and half the present. We have reviews of each issue here:
