Still would like to know why they went through the trouble of getting an Eisner Award winning artist to draw an arc about characters with no fanbases. Wouldn't it be more logical to have that guy draw your main draws? They could've just gone with Bobadidillo for this excursion.

ok, so this guy wants to see it. ;) but still, is it necessary? what's next? wolvie and juilee? storm and colossus? the thing i don't like about certain characters pairing up all of a sudden, is that a lot of times there wasn't any (indicated) sexual chemistry to begin with, no build up. like kurt's secret feelings for ororo while he's accidentally making out with rachel. random and gross. claremont kinda had storm and logan cuddling at that point too, but other than logan being a great lay on one of her stopovers to divorcetown from BP, it doesn't jive with what i've seen of their relationship. if they play it like ororo's just in it to make some hot sexy mistakes before getting her life back in order, then that makes sense. but then again we never got any buildups on why exactly her marriage break down happened in the first place. next thing we knew, they were on the outs. but what does that say about logan and his xmates? he just banged dazzler, and domino's giving him hummers on the regular. heck, dazzler's off banging her way through the multiverse at the moment. are we gonna keep reading about how the xwomen get passed around their male counterparts every time one of them needs a sense of purpose? don't get me wrong, i'm all for healthy, casual sexual relationships, but at least give me a good reason to go along with it.

that being said, what they're doing with gambit/celia and even how the beast/celia thing was handled nicely. rictor/shatterstar actually makes sense too.

Why does it seem to me that even this whole 'Bobby is gay' thing is not due to gay readers wanting to have an Omega level mutant and original X-Man to represent them, rather it is a cruel joke that any man who's not an alpha male or with a list of past conquests as long as your arm must be 'gay', in the same sort of way that a bully would call a quiet kid a 'fag'? He could be easily written to be bisexual, as anyone could, in theory, but I only see canon girlfriends. Plus he has to have slept with some of them at least: how else would be believe, for a time, that Opal Tanaka's kid may have been his? The only canon 'evidence' even suggesting bisexuality that I can think of was his bedside vigil for Cannonball, but this was a close friend who almost died on an operation with Iceman, and he felt a mixture of concern for a friend and guilt over not having been able to do more. Two men can have a close friendship that isn't sexual/physical.
That said, if he was to have a canon male on male fling, it wouldn't ruin the character in my eyes, I'm not a homophobe. I just don't see the evidence. At most, he could be bi, theoretically. I am sure one could retcon almost anyone in the X-titles as being bi, however...

I like Savage Land, as long as they use the Mutates as well. I do hate Savage Land stories where I wait for my Savage land favorites like Whiteout, Lupa, Leash, Amphibius and Gaza, and they never show up.

I guess I am in the minority on this lol. I am liking this story arc so far. Not the best in the title but I think it's good. Looking forward to seeing who clobbered that clown with the mallet and for the X-Men to unleash on the circus freaks.

I like it too. But then, I've been waiting for a while for someone to do something decent with Marvel's Monster of Frankenstein. I'm a big Frankenstein fan. I loved the novel and when I discovered the Essential of Marvel's series I loved that too. And truth be told, I like the Marvel version better than DC's flowery-talking super-spy version (an unpopular opinion, I know). This may not be the best thing he's been in, but it's worlds better than the Fear Itself mini he had a part in.
