A lot of great artists on there and I had to choose one, I'd always go with Olivier Coipel. I love the sheer amount of energy he brings to his work!
Olivier Coipel - The best damned artist on the planet!
Shout out to Kev Walker! You're doing a hell of a job!

Rua & the others remind me that I really need to finish King City, and soon.
Anyhoo, other faves of mine from this year would be Graham's Prophet partners-in-crime Simon Roy, Farel Dalrymple, & Giannis Milanogiannis; also Goran Parlov, Fiona Staples, Johnathan Case, James Stokoe, Chris Burnham, IDW's Popeye crew, Darwyn Cooke (for The Score, not whats-is), Kevin 'O Neill, & Andy Price.
EDIT: Oh, and the entirety of the artists who did The Shade (the aforementioned Mr. Cooke, Gene Ha, Javier Pulido, etc.)

I dont care about controversy , i meant i wont rate him for that work because there is no way in the world im gonna fall for DC gimmick to sale those comics and read that work of his. It doesnt exist for me. Im no hipster reader whatever that is i like superhero good stories like i like any other stories. Im reading right now the real Watchman for the first time and that is enough.
Darwyn Cook missed out because his latest Parker wasnt enough to beat Francavilla.
Im just not enough of DC loyal fanboy to buy Before Watchman. I choose with my wallet what to support.
Pull List:
The Walking Dead,Fatale,Near Death,Storm Dogs,Happy,BPRD,XO-Manowar
American Vampire,Animal Man,Swamp Thing
Daredevil, Winter Soldier,Indestructible Hulk
I love a lot of those artists for their previous works (Cooke, Aja, Williams III), but I haven't read many NEW comics this year, due mostly to indifference to the New 52 and waiting for recent series to come out in TPBs.
That said, I voted "Other" with the criminally-underrated Francis Manapul in mind, for his mind-blowing work on Flash. His art reminds me a bit of Cooke with a slight manga sensibility, if that makes any sense -- and I usually hate manga artwork.

Went with Aja, because I really love Hawkguy.
Fiona Staples has been really amazing too. Love her art work. Check out my comics reviews on www.youtube.com/SouthsideReviewBoys
The best comic book artist of 2012 was Adam Kubert(Avengers vs X-men).
Yannick Paquette(Swamp Thing),John Romita Jr(Avengers Vs X-Men),Stefano Casseli(Amazing Spider-Man) were other artists that have been making great work in the comics illustrated by them as well.
Pull List:Uncanny Avengers,Avengers,Superior Spider-Man,Daredevil,All New X-Men,Hawkeye,Captain America,Thor:God of Thunder,Swamp Thing,Morbius,Thunderbolts,Iron Man,Fatale.
I chose Aja due to my affinity towards Hawkeye(guy) -- as it is the best solo rendition of Hawkeye ever -- but I recall Coipel's art in A vs X #11 as being the best single issue art of the year for me. Too bad #12 didn't follow up on quality, art or story.
And Immonen's current artistic run on All New X-Men is the best of his career. So beautiful.
Accrding to me Olivier Coipel.
This is just way too hard I can't choose one.
Can we vote twice? Lol it would be between Esad Ribic, David Aja and Greg Capullo for me.
"You wouldn't like me when I'm happy" - Bruce Banner
I went with Aja, I love his art in Hawkeye, it narrowly tops Darwyn Cooke, who is a perennial favorite of mine.
Francavilla deserves mention, and Graham is amazing just for all of the little gags and such that he COVERS a page in.
Also, Fiona Staples deserves attention.
