Yeah, I don't understand this whole 'Xavier will wipe their minds to avoid changing the future' thing.

From our POV, the current 616 universe is sacrosanct, but from the POV of Xavier in the past, 'our' future is just another 'bad future', much like Days of Future Past or Here Comes Tomorrow...and he would do all he could to avert it.

I wonder if that could be another possible ending (assuming all five original X-men survive). They go back, either having fixed things as much as possible in the present or realizing that they cannot succeed, and meet Charles expecting him to mindwipe them...but Charles instead decides that they will use this information to create a new future...

And they can possible revisit this alternate timeline somewhere down the line.

For starters Charles mindwiping them would still change the timeline, because he'd KNOW the future now. He'd want to take action to prevent some of those things from happening. In fact, he'd likely be so horrified he would not mindwipe the o5. Why even bother? Why would Charles try to preserve a future where he gets killed, and where mutants were decimated by the Scarlet Witch (granted, they were restored, by why preserve that). Also, while Jean had to become Phoenix to save the universe, if Charles had known about what Mastermind and the White Queen were planning he could have stopped Jean's Dark Phoenix transformation and saved the lives of those people on D'Bari. Xavier would try to prevent Cassandra Nova from wrecking the shi'ar empire, as that void allowed Vulcan to take over and got Lilandra killed.

Cable is Scott and Jean's kid. She may not have expelled him from her uterus, but she raised him and taught him all the things he learned as a child that impacted him on who he became.

Maddy was just a surrogate.

Anyone who says "Jean's not Cable's mother" has no idea what it's like to be a stepchild.

Genetically, Cable is Jean's kid. Madelyne was a clone of Jean, and her consciousness was a Jean/Phoenix fragment. Maddie is a part of Jean.

While not a perfect series, I am REALLY enjoying All New X-men. Not only is it a great idea, it was executed almost perfectly. I will say that one of the things that I dislike about the series are two incredibly creepy covers (and not in a good way).





Anybody else find these images creepy or is it just me? Are Jean and Cyclops 18 or older?
