Haven't played Asura's Wrath, but wasn't Asura getting up to like, high end cosmic at the end? Pretty sure he'll wipe out everything in MK with a particularly vigorous sneeze in that case.

He kills them all with just two arms.
He is THAT much more powerful than Mortal Kombat.
The other power? Bigger curbstomp.
I dunno, I heard that the Cosmic forms of Raiden and the other Gods are at least mildly impressive.
Destructor Asura seems to be ridiculously beyond them, though.

I don't know that the gods have much by way of feats. I heard something about Raiden pulling some cosmic destruction once, but I never actually saw it or had anyone tell me what it was from, so I mostly discount it.

Oh I know, I've played the game (except for some DLC, but frankly I have enough of Akuma's crap in the actual Street Fighter games). Its just that I vaguely remember hearing stuff like Raiden being on a stellar or galactic level who had to seriously limit himself to enter the tournament and never really felt interested enough in the MK storyline to follow up on it. His divine forms may be too much for base combat Asura, at least near the start of the game, without any external Mantra or a Mantra Reactor. I doubt he'd really stand a chance against much of Asura's other forms, but I was erring on the side of caution.

Yeah in one of the later games serious Raiden blew up a Realm or something of that nature.
Now if Raiden fights *God* style Asura in Destructor Mode would still kill him.
Also Wrath Asura is a beast, destroying a good deal of space craft, survived that super beam, and in a cut scene (Your Yasha) he takes out the "main ship."
Hell transforming into Wrath Asura with all his rage/pain took out some of those ships, just by sheer presence.
Blowing up a realm is pretty nebulous though. Like, is there any evidence that when they say "Earth Realm" they're talking about our entire universe beyond the planet? If not, "realm" can mean anything from someone's back yard up to whatever you want depending on the context. If there's no indication as to just how large the realm Raiden destroyed was, it's pretty hard to quantify the feat.

In the first game, Raiden's ending involved him and the other gods getting together and throwing their own tournament on Earth, destroying the planet in the process.
They still don't scratch Asura.
I don't recall it saying they destroyed the planet; I just remember his ending saying that he eventually made it a god-tournament. I could be wrong though. Plus there might have been some differences between different versions of the game.

That is in MK1. Raiden's ending was he was bored. So he made the touranment to be Gods, and their fighting doomed the planet.
Thankfully non-canon.
But yeah supposely the Realm that was nuked was where "Reptiles" race lived. Something along those lines.
