I've just read Morbius #1 for the first time. I have never read a Morbius comic before. But even I know that Morbius is dressed the way he is because:

1 - He has just escaped from prison and is wanted by the authorities.

2 - He does not want to be captured, so he is trying to blend in and not be noticed, hence his lack of a fancy-ass costume.

How do I know these things? BECAUSE IT SAYS SO IN THE COMIC. A comic which a lot of people here have apparently not even read.

    Very, very good observation.

I think it's not even that bad, really, considering how much his normal costumes would stick out like a sore thumb.

Yeah,I could understand some people's reaction to his attire if we wind up in issue 18,and he's still dressing the way he does. Then that would be a problem. But given Morbius' current situation his clothing is completely appropriate and justified, and also realistic. It's details like that that make this series very promising.

The art turn me off, the direction turn me off. I feel cheated after reading the pilot issue under SM title, this one show no sign of using intellect to solve his problem, then it's not for me.
If you like it then suit yourself.

It says so in the comic doesn't mean I can not dislike it, FYI.

How does that excuse changing his distinctive facial features and making him look like an emo goth wannabe? and making him look a whole lot younger.

The Spidey office seems desperate for any kind of related spin off no matter how bad it might be and make no mistake most of them have been bad with the exception of possibly agent Venom.

I know what you mean, especially his nose. I prefer Morbius ugly.

But then in issue 2, towards the end, I thought we saw some of that, where he looks a little more animalistic.

However, the artist here wouldn't be the first to make Morbius look less ugly, only to make him look very scary when the need arises.

(Note: I still haven't gotten any of your messages! I really don't get what's going on with that feature :()

And why does being emo have to be a bad thing? Sure, emos can be whiny, but so can comic book fans lol

Also, Morbius was one of the "original" whiny, emo vampires. It's perfectly in character for him to be this way.
