Yeah, Immonen's Cat-Beast was pretty sick. Oh, well. The new one looks pretty good to me too, so I'm willing to give it a chance. I think it's kind of interesting how Beast keeps mutating and changing his look. Would make even more sense if his serum was based on Mystique's (or some other shape-shifter's) blood like in X-men First Class. Regardless, due to his experimenting on himself his physical condition is a bit unstable, so his form changes from time to time. At this stage I think it's just become a part of who he is. First he was human looking with big hands and feet, then he was gray and hairy with Wolverine hair, then blue and hairy with Wolverine hairy, then he looked like a giant lion (in Morrison's run), then he got a little smaller (in Whedon's run) but was still cat-like, now he's back to looking like an ape but bigger and with a different hairstyle. That's Beast for you, constantly mutating...

He kinda does...and that's not really a good thing. If they wanted to make him more gorilla-like, they should have made him look more like the Earth X Hulk:

I have to agree with you there. That was the best version I have seen of Cat Beast. Still like I said the sad thing is the next artist to draw him would have probably made him look totaly different yet again.

That's the first thing that came to my mind too

But he's got ape like feet and gorilla like head so I guess BMB got his wish and Beast is somekind of ape/gorilla again... It's funny that Bendis was able to go along with the change even when Nick Lowe the head x-editor was against it so... head x-editor doesn't now have any say on matters concerning x-characters anymore?
