Some of the non-WWE pro-wrestling federations are good for this. Ring of Honour, CHIKARA, Pro Wrestling Guerilla, Dragon Gate... The problem with the WWE is it's a wrestling federation run by someone who doesn't like wrestling.

MMA side would be DEEP. Several pro wrestlers have started short lived records in that promotion. Including Alberto Del Rio (in mask) and Super Porky.

Pro wrestling, hands down PANCRASE and RINGS. Pro wrestlers got sick of the dog and pony shows of the 80's and formed Catch leagues to show of the legit grappling and submissions of the sport. Many great pro wrestlers came from these leagues.

Sadly , Ring of Honor isn't where it once was. I blame the fact the company has lost a lot of talent to the WWE and TNA. One of the funniest debacles was last years Kenny King deal where King didn't have a ROH contract and was working there being a nice guy. He shows up on TNA , Cornette throws a pissy tantrum and basically kicks King outta ROH. Even though King was part of the ROH tag team champions and he could have used the exposure for the company.

The King of Trios event is always good, and I do like the occasional quirky moments, such as when Glacier made fun of himself, considering how his WCW career saw him strut out in Mortal Kombat-esque attire.
