Yeah, they're about $3k to $4k more than the Toyota, Dodge or Ford models I was looking at, so I ruled that one out.

Sorry Canadians, but the toleration of fighting is so weird, I just can't enjoy the sport.

Must not be a boxing/rasslin/MMA fan either.

Also Hockey is enjoyable, but definetly low-tier to me compared to the glory that is Pro-football or basketball. Baseball doesn't even rate, unless I'm there or buzzed or A-Rod isn't playing.

I hate the fighting. I can understand if dudes fight out of good ol' fashioned anger, but it's so planned out and expected these days. It's fucking barbaric.

I distinguish between aggression as part of the sport and aggression that is full of malice. I used to like boxing until Mike Tyson came along and blurred the distinctions.

rasslin' isn't a sport, it's acting and entertainment.

    I know nothing about MMA.

Are hybrid cars worth it? I seem to have an inordinate number of friends in CA that have a Prius.
It's wanting to know that makes us matter. Otherwise we're going out the way we came in. That's why you can't believe in the afterlife. Believe in the after, by all means, but not the life. Believe in God, the soul, the spirit, the infinite, believe in angels if you like, but not in the great celestial get-together for an exchange of views. If the answers are in the back of the book I can wait, but what a drag. Better to struggle on knowing that failure is final. - Hannah, Arcadia

Here's a quick primer for MMA- Think of the most homoerotic elements of Wrasslin- pro or otherwise. Multiply that by 20, and slap "Tap Out" everywhere.

Also the correct term is "Sports Entertainment/T-shirt promotions".

Yeah, that's out of the price range. I was hoping to spend in the $15 k to $16 k range.

It may pay for itself if I drove it everyday, but it is more of a commuting car for my wife to make small trips and errands as well as drive to her parent's to help her mom take care of her dad.

I am going to keep taking mass transit most of the time.

I'm currently working through a re-read of Bone because I've only read the last half of the run once. But I'm wondering if Quest For the Spark is worth reading once I'm through.

If you drive enough. With how much I drive and the current cost of gas here it'd take me 7 years to make up the difference compared to a similar sedan but I imagine it'd be much less with someone who drives in the city more and lives in CA.

I have a 2002 Corolla (well, a Chevy Prizm, but it's the same thing) with 200K miles and I like it pretty well and it's needed very little in the way of repairs. My biggest complaint about it is that I got pressured (or maybe guilted) into buying one on the lot, rather than holding out for a standard transmission or 4-speed that would've had better mileage on the highway (which is more than half my driving). But then, gas was a lot cheaper back then.

I will not deny that. I also am not a fan of Dana White.
