I figured. Just a general question. Is that a Dragonball only thing? The way I always looked at Anime vs Manga is basically, if it happened in a medium, then it counts when one is talking about that version of the character. It works in most cases (Sailor Moon springs to mind), but I can see why it would be a problem in something like Dragonball Z in which some filler contradicts the manga.
Sailor Moon anime and manga, while it's not something I'm overly familiar with (I've watched...some episodes, like ten years ago) are two different stories after a certain point, as I understand it.
Anime Sailor Moon is default for Rumbles because it's the one most people think of, but both don't get each others' feats. (If things are indeed as I recall them to be.)

They both tell the same basic story, but in vastly different ways (With the exception of SuperS which was completely different, and the first half of R, which fits the standard definition of filler)
I'm just trying to get a better understanding of this. If the OP had specifically mentioned the Anime version of DBZ would we still discount anime only filler?
