Most, if not all, of the Resident Evil movies have done blah box office in the U.S., but they do big business overseas, so they keep making them.

Yep...and after they do the 6th and final one of the current movie series....they plan to do a revamp of it. Because its good money really.

I like that the rule of Die Hard crisis's seems to be continuing. Die Hard 1 was "save a building". Die Hard 2 was "save an airport". Die Hard 3 was "save New York". Die Hard 4 was "save America". Die Hard 5 is looking close to "save the world".

Man, Die Hard 6 is going to be epic.

I was saying it would stop the every other rule, i.e., TNG movies suck.

So Die Hard IV , you get mcclane with his daughter. In Die Hard V , you get mcclane with his son so will Die Hard VI in 2017 be Mcclane with his grandchildren ?!

It'll be a McClaine family outing: he's back with his wife and he, her, their son, their daughter, and her new husband Mac. Like the Bionic 6...but there are 5. So half way between Fantastic 4 and Bionic 6.

And no, this really isn't a stupid reason for boycotting. IMO, it's the best reason for boycotting.

This franchise was meant to be R-rated as nature intended and even the studios behind Terminator 5 says we are going back to the honest-to-god R-rated nature to the franchise and even Fox went back to R for the Predator and Alien franchises with Promtheus and Predators and both were successful R-rated comebacks and i praise them for that after that PG-13 abortion known as AVP

Yeah, you're right, it's the rating who makes a movie good, of course.

I'd say it could depend on the movie. For instance, you ever heard of a comic series called "The Boys"? There have been rumors about a movie for it. What if there was a movie and it was rated G? A G or PG rated "The Boys" film could never ever do the comic even the tiniest bit of justice. People who have read the comic will know what I mean. Even if the movie was technically good it wouldn't be in terms of what it is supposed to be based off of.

I'm not saying the same thing applies to Die Hard though, but I do think there are movies that flat out do need a certain rating to do the material justice. Imagine movies like Nightmare on Elmstreet or Hellraiser if they were rated G.

Live Free felt and looked like it had been a chore to finish filming the damn thing. Old school R-rated flicks feel like everyone involved had the absolute time of their lives.

I think with a PG-13 rating you can drop the F bomb once

right but old school R rate flicks were made in a different time, the landscape of movie making has changed vastly in the past 20 years, and they were also made with the understanding that they weren't going to make a lot of money

Die Hard is a franchise, and a solid one at that....I consider 2 the weak film of the series and it has a good amount of profanity
