Best wishes and my prayers will go out to you Peter and your family. The world is a big place with many people, but you are one of a kind that needs its talent and gift of laughter. Get better fast buddy.

Didn't Claremont have a stroke or a mild heart attack a few years ago? It saddens me to see my favorite creators getting sick, I wish PAD a speedy and full recovery.

My best wishes to Peter on a quick recovery. I've had the pleasure of reading his work and of talking to Peter David at NY cons and it's always lasted longer than I'd planned. If it hadn't been for his column in CBG I might never of had the chance to see Harlan Ellison when he spoke at the Phili Con years ago.

And Marvel, if it turns out he'll never be able to resume work on X-Factor, I kindly suggest putting out a final issue after his last completed script that is just 21 pages of "And they all lived happily ever after" and give the proceeds to a charity dealing with stroke victims and their families.
    I second that emotion.

Peter David has long been one of the best-kept secrets in comics, mostly because he gets few of the high-profile assignments, isn't included in the massive crossovers and isn't considered a "hot" writer.

Screw all that. The man just keeps on doing original and inventive work. Nothing wrong with just doing your job well. His tenure on the Hulk was the definitive run on the title.

Get well, Peter and I wish you a full recovery.

Agreed. Hopefully Peter will be able to go back to work on this and other projects, but in the event that doesn't happen, let's be realistic and understand that he IS X-Factor in every real way.

More importantly, I pray for strength for Peter and his whole family.

I feel that he will be involved in at least plotting X-Factor if not writing it outright, if for no other reason than finishing out his plotlines and ending the book around 270/275.

He's gonna be back. PAD's too badass for a stroke to keep him in traction.

    Get well, good sir.

Peter David wrote Young Justice. It was the first superhero comic that ever made me laugh. Not only that, he wrote that series for five years for 54 out of the 55 issues it ran. That one issue was the only fill-in. The man not only does excellent work, but he's one of the true journeyman comics writers. A real, reliable professional in the field.

I wish him a quick and uncomplicated recovery. And I think I speak for everyone when I say he should take all the time he needs in order to recover.

Question: Had you heard that Peter was going to wrap things up at that point before his health issues? Just wondered why you chose those particular issues/time frame. Thanks!
