From a sheer time perspective, it takes me about three times as long to read and savor a 2000 AD issue as a traditional modern age comic book.
Hmmm... I suppose I take your point. However, I would have thought that it would take as long to read, possibly even less long, than a traditional classic age comicbook. But there we are. After a crisis of conscience and some soul searching, or even merely a bit of thought, I have decided to count an issue of Commando as 2 units (where one unit = a traditional American comicbook). If I read any manga, I might be in trouble.

Stand alone stories are written to create flow. There is a certain amount of info to take in during the exposition, but a story is largely advanced by action after that point, which reads quicker than information. When you read six individual stories, that's six times the amount of information to take in at the beginning in order to be able to follow the story.

But again, there is no hard-fast rule on any of this. If you want to count every issue you read as 15 issues, no one's stopping you.

I think I may count Joe Kubert Presents in a similar fashion, it's a great anthology series. The only problem then comes to how to classify which age it belongs to, by it's publication date it's clearly modern but Joe Kubert's style is anything but modern and the same goes for the other stories as well.

Dupe, please check out Rule #2 in the OP. We're trying to avoid doing the "I have updated" posts this year because they clutter up the thread. Less posts makes it easier to review everyone's posts (which are all being updated regularly, we hope!).

I PMed Lone Ranger two days ago to request that this thread be stickied so that there's no need to bump it either, but I don't think he's logged on yet this year.

How you choose to count anything on your list is your call entirely.
