Default Kratos vs. Captain Marvel (Shazam)

Let's see if the half-god spartan can take on DC's mightiest magical god powered mortal?

No. The speed gap is the most blatant advantage, but even without it Kratos is vastly outclassed in physical ability compared to DC's high tier of heroes.

Well, it does depend on what the NuDC version's done.

Though really, if it's even half as powerful as the post-crisis version, it crushes Kratos.

...Or grabs Kratos' chains and flings him into orbit.

Ouch. As stated, if DCnU Captain Marvel is anywhere near post-crisis, this is a horror-stomp.

Captain Marvel's superior strength, speed, durability, skill, and magic-powers makes it a stomp.

The spartan-wannabe bites it once again. :P

Has NuDC Marvel done a thing yet? Last I heard, they were still telling his origin in JL.
"I am Shishihime Ikiho! The legendary hero who has lived 5000 years!"

"That's right, and I am a high schooler who couldn't live alone even for a second... and is as cool as the devil himself."

    Kratos is nearer Spider-Man's range.

Shazam craps himself. Because he is a child inside, he has beaten all of the GoW games and feels unworthy to face such an awesome opponent.

If he's still as white-bread-uber-wholesome as I remember, he probably saw their ratings and decided not to play them until he was an adult.

He's a ton stronger than Spidey and a fair amount more durable.

He's lacking in speed though. I'd sort of put him analogous to someone like Doc Samson in terms of comics.

NuDC Billy is like an orphan punk with a bad attitude. He'd totally play God of War.

In terms of the general "tier" of them both, he's akin to Spider-Man. As would be... say... Ben Grimm. Not statistically the same on all fronts, but overall on around the same level.

Mid-tier, so to speak. They're gonna smash the crap out of anyone considered "street-level", but anyone in range of the likes of Hulk is gonna beat them.

And, to be fair, what I said was that he was "nearer" to Spider-Man than he is to Captain Marvel, which was just my way of saying "this is a fucking huge mismatch".

Also, Big Cheese tends to punch Superman in the face every once in a while. He's not gonna be particularly awed by Kratos and would probably feel that he needs a good whack or fifty.
Fox Mr. Sinister (holding Rogue's chin): "So beautiful, yet so strong."

Fox Wolverine: "Well, I always did think I was kinda cute. Nice of you to mention it."
