When I was younger it was. Started to watch it again and found it lame. But if I watch with someone I use too then I would have more fun. Still love that theme song though XD "Fighting evil by moonlight! Winning love by daylight!" Too catchy.

I will admit that as a kid, I saw Ami and Makoto as a easy girlfriend/wife material.

No guilt for me, but I was part of it's target audience when the show first aired in the states. The unedited version has a lot better/deeper story/ characterization wise and the manga is even better than that. There really wasn't much for anyone looking for fan service in this anime so I don't know why anyone would be ashamed to admit that they watched it. It is generally regarded as a good show.
