So how do people feel about Simon Baz?

He hasn't been around long, but so far, I like him. In fact, he and Green Arrow are really the only reasons I'm getting JLA in February. I'd like for him to stick around and maybe even replace Hal in Green Lantern. But that's just me. I'm sure many people on here are probably bemoaning his existence (because that's what comic fans do, they bemoan things a lot) and I want to hear why.

Don't mind him being around, but I don't really care about him either, not really helped by his story so far being a cliche.

So far he seems an interesting character that I'm willing to give time for him to develop. But DC really needs to get the GL group under control there are too many ring wielders of various flavors.

Main reason I'm giving JLA a chance is because of Martian Manhunter, Stargirl and an interest in seeing where they are going with Vibe.

But I need Hal to remain relevant in some capacity so I can continue to read about Carol. Maybe she should be given her own book after this Third Army storyline is over, with a depowered Hal as her hopeless loser boyfriend. Baz could guest star, and sparks would fly in some capacity I'd imagine. It could replace Red Lanterns, all that book really delivers is Bleez ass shots anyway, and Carol can do that just as well, without those creepy wings and with actual characterization and depth to boot.

I like him. I wish they had introduced him before starting the whole Rise of the Third Army stuff. Other than that, I like him and look forward to seeing him interact with the other GLs and the other Leaguers.

I find him to be a very interesting character myself and I wouldn't be bothered if he replaced Hal in Green Lantern since I like him better than Hal.
