    Default REVIEW: Aquaman, #15

"Aquaman" #15 by Geoff Johns and Paul Pelletier continues the "Throne of Atlantis" crossover and shines a spotlight on Aquaman's anguish and loyalties as his past and present, his old family and new allies all converge inevitably on the brink of war.

I agree, I thought Superman and Wonder Woman and Batman were acting like asses towards Aquaman. But then again, Clark and Diana are in their early 20s, I'm guessing, so maybe we can chalk it up to youthful hubris?

Overall I liked the issue. My main gripe was that, since I generally read my new comics in alphabetical order by title, I read Aquaman before the Justice League; I wish they had put a little editor's note or something saying that this story is continued from Justice League 15.

(As a side note, in paragraph 3 the reviewer incorrectly references issue 16 instead of 15)

I thought this was a pretty fair review, but I think it deserved a higher score. The transition from Justice League #15 to this issue was seamless, smooth, and compelling. While I think Johns characterized the rest of the league as a bit impulsive, I think it still played out nicely. And now Aquaman has to take on both his brother and the league. In the past that would have been a ridiculously unfair fight. But after the past few years of Aquaman's growth as a character, I think it could make for a hell of a battle.

Aquaman remains one of the top 5 titles of the relaunch. This issue continues to maintain that status.

It felt very seamless from JLA #15. I moved from book to the other and it may as well have been stapled together.

Mera got some good moments in this issue as well. Ending it with Arthur grabbing Batman by the neck can't end well no matter the reason he did so(subterfuge)

I've always thought that Paul was a good solid artist and didn't think the book would suffer much with his stepping in and taking over for Ivan. Ivan's become one of my favorite artists and was excited when he was moving over to Justice League. But man I did not expect this from Paul! He went from good and solid to outstanding!

it was a little off the fact that Batman does not a speak a single word when the trinity confronts Superman, and still, he's the one who gets choked...
