There's a place for both, but it doesn't make sense to condemn one show for becoming dark when it's consistent with its tone and premise, and is also surrounded by lighthearted shows in the same block. I like the variety of tones in the DC Nation block.
Eh I wouldn't call Clone Wars lighthearted. Especially during the later seasons.

Oh, sorry, I was referring more to the DC Nation block, not necessarily all the shows on CN's Saturday Morning programming.

Young Justice has always been about keeping secrets and lies from day one of the show.

Artemis keeping her parentage a secret from the others.
Miss Martian lying by omission about her true self.
Aqualad not being told about his real father.
Captain Marvel keeping his identity as a kid secret from the Justice League.
    Superboy's Lex Luthor tattoos.
The whole traitor stuff from the 1st season.
Do the others even know Dick's true identity 5 years later?

Frankly I thought the second-to last episode of the last season already showed how heroic the team can be, when they laid bare all their secrets. Saying the show is too dark just seems like a really silly complaint to me now.
Jean Grey : What makes you such a bitch, Emma?
Emma Frost : Breeding, darling. Top class breeding.

I'm confused because the episode that aired today I saw months ago. How is that new? Tell me they didn't release the episode months ago elsewhere and then try to say it is new.

EDIT: Just checked, yeah they released it on itunes back in October. Well...why? Why release it on itunes and then wait months before airing it?

Because the episode was yanked at the last minute, but the scheduled Itunes release wasn't changed

Doesn't make sense, why not yank it from both then? Unless they just plain forgot about it.

EDIT: I'm likely to think they forgot about it. Since I remember they also forgot to pull an episode off the CN website that had been uploaded before it had aired.

Yea the scheduling has effed up my continued interest. Still a great show So I'll grab the box set when its cancelled. Erm what the official reasons for these delays? I haven't been paying attention.

That's what I'm going to do.

Don't think CN has given any reason. Haven't even heard DC's side of the issue either.

The thing is: If viewers decide to quit watching because of the schedule, they're falling right into CN's trap. That's the true purpose of the scheduling messes: To frustrate viewers into stop watching shows that CN has a bias against in the first place. Right now, CN wants to focus solely into comedies, and they're trying to get rid of action shows to do so.

So, it's critical to keep watching the shows. Otherwise, you're giving in to CN's mess.

^^^ Yea pretty much this. If CN want to ***k with there own show then there's nothing we can do about it. The only thing we can do is buy the boxsets, itune and netflix the sh1t out of it. When CN see's the sales fly through the roof, they'll realize there mistake and hopefully think twice before they mess with such an amazing show. WTF are they thinking?!?!!?!?

CN wants short term programming....basically stuff like Johnny Test, Gumball, Adventure Time...stuff that doesn't require a ton of viewer commitment and you can watch random episodes and not have to worry about stuff you missed

I thought the whole creation of things like cliffhangers was to hook people into coming back show after show so that they didn't miss an ongoing story?

This modern way of trying to earn a profit by shooting yourself in the foot....I just don't get it. If onlie I'd gon two busyness kollej like dad wanted.
To Sleep, perchance To Dream. The computer in Logan's Run was correct. Life after 30 isn't worth the trouble. Old age is a literal pain.

Reality TV has changed that dynamic, and cliffhangers only work if you've built an audience for the show and have them invested....works better for "grown up" shows as opposed to cartoons
