Maybe Spock will realize that the whole "great responsibility" thing isn't for him, but won't want to break his promise to Peter. So he clones himself a new, youthful Octavius body, puts his conciousness into it, revives Peter's conciousness and puts it back in Spiderman's body.

Actually, this story will go on far longer then a year. I was fortunate enough to discuss this with Wacker and he spilled the beans. Parker will be revived in Doc Ocks body and will concoct a plan to get his body back. Parker will succeed in getting Doc Ock out of his body and back into his own but not without a price. Parker will wake up and somehow will be in the body of Miles Morales in the Ultimate universe. Miles Morales will wake up in the 616 universe and find himself in Mary Janes body, and Mary Jane will wake up as Wolverine. Unfortunately, Logan won't make it. It will be a stunning turn of events.

I'm sorry... I know I snapped a little bit but good gravy I still haven't resolved the amount of wasted time sifting through the "Bruce will be back by the time the next Dark Knight movie comes out" posts from the Dickman era. I don't know if I can take it for the whole extent of the Spider-Puss era. Thought I'd try to nip it in the bud. After all... the internet usually follows directions quite well.

Wait a sec. You don't like someone's opinion, so are relegating all those with that opinion to this thread? Do you think that will work?

Listen, we know how this ends. Peter will be Spidey again. The journey - as in all good story telling - will be the key. Will fans be interested in seeing Ock as Spidey for an extended period of time with no Peter sightings? I think folks are intrigued by this turn of events, and are curious how things will be set right.

Lastly, just b/c you don't like someone's (or someones') opinion doesn't mean they should be segregated.

I actually think this thread should be deleted b/c it doesn't foster any real debate and is intended to silence discussion in fact.

But let's note that with the double shipping schedule, that's more than 24 issues worth of stories to get there.

If we assume that, in celebration of ASM #2, Marvel does a big arc bringing back Peter, that would put us at issue 32 dropping in April of 2014. That makes for a pretty substantial amount of story covering Ock's turn as Spider-Man.
Alonso said that Bucky stayed as Captain America longer than people expected, so that amount of issues sounds about right.

Yes, he did stick around for a long time. It's worth noting, though, that Rogers resumed his duties as Cap within a few months of the Captain America film hitting theaters. Jaded? Sure, but there's little reason to believe (Based on past history) that Peter won't be back as Spider-Man within the next 18 months.

LOL!! Hypocrite much? Besides, I probably even AGREE with said statement that I'm ranting about. I just want the internet to follow my orders is all.

Ah, ok. No hypocrisy at all Barry. I never said alternate views on anything can't be debated, what I said was segragating people with an opinion you don't like onto one thread was my issue. But you knew that. Anyhow, I am intrigued where Slott will take this and I'm excited about the new movie too. :)

Holy hell it doesn't take much around here to be labeled a segregationist! I'm gonna start a thread that segregates people who want to silence people who want to segregate people.

You are reading to much into this. He says the first year....which it is, unless the Doc has been in the body for a while now.

But a movie is coming out so obviously everything will be back to normal qed
