From reading both opening issues....I can say I love it.
I am not an Avengers fan nor an X-Men fan.I am a Marvel fan for life.

Justice League has been pretty "meh" so far... but this looks interesting.

You can tell Johns wrote a lot of this before the reboot. The characters don't seem as shallow and awkward. They behave with experience, as if they do know eachother.
In all past Crisis/history events, an issue finally came along that elevated the stories and made them seem like a part of the longterm DCU and not tied down to new or old continuity, but existing to assign the best of all of that. JL and Aquaman #15 carried that kind of feel for me.
Johns always talks a good story, but the final comic never pans out.

Justice League is really starting to hit its stride. Best team book on the market right now if Johns keeps this up

"No weapon formed against them could prosper."
Ivan Reis art is fantastic, but Geoff Johns is an overestimated writer and the 'new 52 Justice League' is downright predictable and mediocre.
Justice League is just okay. Johns is better with solo books. Green Lantern and Aquaman are so much better. Okay maybe Aquaman is not, but Green Lantern is sure as hell.
I'm gonna hook on board.

I've read both JL #15 and Aquaman #15 and so far it has been awesome. Justice League has really been picking up lately. After the end of the second arc and the developing Superman/Wonder Woman relationship, this title has really hit its stride. Aquaman has been as awesome as ever and this arc looks like it will only help. I can't wait to see how this plays out and how it leads to Justice League of America. Overall, I say 2013 is looking very good for DC.![]()

So does this confirm Johns was phoning it in all this time?
Here's hoping for a better JL book now. After finally getting an ideal JL line-up, I really wanted to enjoy this book.

It's funny -- I've been a Jim Lee fan for a long time but JLA seemed to get noticeably better in this issue with Ivan Reis/Joe Prado on the art chores compared with when Jim was working off of Johns' scripts. Tony Daniel wasn't too bad during his fill-in but he's really several notches lower than both Lee or Reis as a comic book artist (or Capullo for that matter, if we're comparing Batman).
I guess a lot of it has to do with Reis being more familiar with Johns/really knowing how to tell Johns' stories -- and not having a 90's Image-style pinup quota the way that Jim seemed to have for JLA. These days, if I had to choose between Reis or Lee, I'd go for Reis.
