I really did enjoy the issue... Not going to get into the semiquasi political debate but here are my highs and lows.
The Highs
1). The interaction between Arthur and Bruce. The respect these two have for each other is high and well shown in this issue. The fact Bruce okays Aquaman going to speak to his brother 1st speaks volumes.
2). Mera's new costume and the showcase of her abilities.
3). Atlantis being shown as a Super Power. No matter what, the humans in the DCU won't be laughing at them anymore.
The Lows
1). I understand this is a JLA/Aquaman crossover, but seriously, this is the largest attack on US soil in the New 52. 1,000s of civilians have just died in the most Major coastal cities. surely, there HAVE to be some effects shown in other books.
2). The issues ending. The JLA should've given Arthur more time. Also, if Atlantis was able to do that much damage in their 1st strike, i would certainly be more open to negotiation and discussion rather than brute force. Superman can't be everywhere at once.
