None of that equates to Vader having the reflexes or speed required to blitz Voldemort before he thinks "Teleport," or flicks his wand at him and turns him into a bullfrog.



I refer to the notion that we only use shown feats for discussion. We allow a certain amount "type," or "racial," handwaving - see Kryptonians or Viltrumites for example - but if you want Vader to blitz Voldemort you'll need actual feats of mask and breathing Vader showing speed that allows for that.

Other than Mustafar and his fight with Luke, I can't really think of any. Though, his fight with Luke in ROTJ should be evidence enough.

Movie versions are default canon for Star Wars. If you want to discuss EU, specify and give feats.

I mean, common opinion is that EU Vader can take Voldemort while Movie Vader loses horribly.

You're saying that because Vader and Obi-wan showed enhanced speed and jumping etc in their fight on Mustafar at the end of the Revenge of the Sith, we have to apply those stats to the same characters when they are some 18 or so years older and badly out of shape? Even though in the fight that took place 18 years later showed no superspeed, precog or any kind of appreciable combat skill.

I just want to check that this bewildering view is the one you're endorsing before I answer.

Well, I might spot them at least the ability to still force jump. It's just afterwards an old Obi Wan would probably be sore and also probably not as agile.
