It's late and I'm not sure I'm making sense. LOL!
Bleach is still running, so I'm not sure I can argue that one being Today's Cartoons. But I still cannot categorize Naruto as "today."

Well I certainly do see your point regarding syndication but the reason I mentioned Naruto is because anime such as Naruto Shippuden or Eureka Seven is still ongoing and quite popular worldwide. However, if we want to be more contemporary we can certainly take a look newer productions such as Blue Exorcist which has become an instant hit. However, Pendleton Ward's new Bravest Warrior's is absolutely excellent. In my opinion it's ike taking the best of both world's from Capcom's Megaman and Frederator's Adventure Time and mixing them in a blender to get a Double Wammy Frappe with a faint hint of Star Trek for kicks dappled with trippy yet tasteful humor ala The Simpsons or Spongebob.
LOL! That's an awesome comparison by the way. I love me some Megaman, so to mention him has me intrigued. Is Bravest Warrior really that good? I've never even heard of it
I'm glad you see my point about syndication. I'm a DBZ fan (lots of Toonami memories!), but some people make it seem like it was first created in 2000. It may have gained massive popularity during that timespan, but I still see the creator making it in the 80s/90s with that particular style storytelling in mind for the audience of that era.

I also think when it comes to cartoons based on comics the DC animated universe pretty much blows anything done by Marvel(or any other comic company) out of the water.
A woman can move a lot faster with her skirt up than a man can with his pants down.
Adventure Time is incredible. It's the perfect blend of all ages appeal. Great fun for kids, bizarre and trippy for teens, great nostalgia and hidden darkness and subtle continuity for adults. Going on it's fifth season now, there's literally only been one or two episodes I've not cared for.

Most of today's cartoons are sh*t... most of them have been since the golden age Warner Brothers. Okay, so I'm showing my age, so what? Seriously though, some that I've watched in the past and enjoyed were
Batman: The Animated Series
Pinky and The Brain.
Currently I record The Penguins of Madagascar.

You are more than right.
Warner Brothers/DC Comics has truly dominated and continues to rule the airwaves when it comes to the best in animated programming on North America TV in my humble opinion. I never really cared for Marvel’s animated TV programming until recently when they began airing Wolverine and The X-Men, Marvel Super Hero Squad, Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes on DisneyXD and the quickly cancelled anime styled Fantastic Four: World’s Greatest Heroes.
While things are indeed improving in the Marvel Animation sphere they continue to stifle their growth by either starting and immediately cancelling the best quality TV shows and replacing them with mediocre dribble like they just did with Spectacular Spider Man and replaced it with the lackluster Ultimate Spider Man. I'm still in disbelief at the fact that Marvel cancelled Wolverine and the X-Men; that show was the equivalent of picking up an X-Men comic and literally climbing into it.
Nonetheless, DC Comics and Warner Brothers continues to be the highest and best in animated story telling with shows and direct to video dramas that appeal to all ages. Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, Ben10, Ben 10 Omniverse, Static Shock, Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated, Jonny Quest, ThunderCats 2011, Chowder, Samurai Jack, Batman Beyond, Batman The Brave and the Bold, Teen Titans and Young Justice are shining beacons of the best that WB/DC has to offer. The aforementioned shows are timeless and it is because of Teen Titans that I became not only a reader of both comic books and manga but also a dedicated buyer thanks in part to the launch of New 52. Prior to the launch of New52 I only purchased manga but now I buy both manga and comics. I purchase DC Comics regularly along with Marvel and Darkhorse.
I sincerely wish that Cartoon Network would bring back and continue both Teen Titans and The Marvelous Misadventures of Flapjack.

There's always good cartoons and bad cartoons out there regardless of what decade. Nostalgia can really mess you up though, there's a lot of cartoons I grew up watching when I was younger that are dang near impossible to watch anymore without lying to myself in regards to their quality. There are definitely a lot that do hold up but optimistically it's probably split into thirds.
As an adult I can know with much more certainty if something's good or not.
