I feel its best for you to use the warning function as it emails me directly to a post that you feel violates some rules. I then weigh in on whether you are right and act accordingly.

Of course it is, if it was any other regular poster nobody would be expected to simply ignore & absorb that treatment.

thats not how the ignore feature works though. You place a user on ignore and their posts dont display for you in that they are not opened for you to read. You have to then elect to engage them.

sure it does. But it really comes down to a do we let people talk about it or do we squash it. We decided to bend the rule and let it be discussed in a thread instead of derail other threads. Are you suggesting that we should reconsider and delete the whole thing?

Nah. I was thinking more that a simple title change would suffice, and make for a broader conversation topic.

But probably less exciting, in the same way that "History of the Indigenous Peoples Power Struggles with the Settlers" isn't as enticing (or as politically incorrect) as "Cowboys and Indians"!

See and this brings it back to my point. Why should Wacker's behavior be allowed if other posters have to ignore it? That seems like it is crossing a line to me, and that is especially true if a Mod is telling someone to ignore him.

The whole thing is silly too, because he's said it very clearly on Twitter that he actually intentionally comes to CBR to pick fights. And that he thinks it's good for his books. If any other poster publicly stated that they came to CBR to pick fights, they'd be asked to conduct themselves differently . . .
