Default Now that Northlanders is going to end,

What kind of other historical fiction would we want to see in comic form? I would like to see a mongol anthalogy. Just like the vikings they were spread out all over the known world. Their different khans ruled and integrated into wastly different cultures.

I would also like to see a black viking arc just for the fun of it, or maybe becasue realy like the song.

Most of history is pretty interesting if you look closely at it.
Check out various crusades and their successes/failures/atrocities.

A good story about the opium wars would be hilarious - if you don't know the story check it out

I would also recommand the movie. It's mediocre, but i found it fascinating.

Well Wood might still continue Northlanders or rather another viking based comic with another publisher.
He hinted something like that in one interview.

I'd pick up the HC of The Crusades from Humanoids. Really great Euro series set during the Crusades.

Something with Romans in would be good. Romans are awesome! (IMO)

If there are already any good comics with Romans in let me know ;)
Currently enjoying: Batman, Detective Comics, American Vampire, Saga, The Wake, Letter 44, The Manhattan Projects, Atomic Robo, East of West, Ghosted, FBP...

Have we had a real kickass pirate epic?

Jamie Delano's Rawbone from Avatar fits the pirate bill quite nicely.

Ian Edgington and Steve Yeowell's The Red Seas from 2000AD plays it a bit more fun with lots of occult stuff going on, but it's a good pirate book,t oo.

Loveless was a Western about the time of the Civil War.
As for stories in the civil war, there is probably too much research of that time to leave much open.

For Historical Fiction "Unknown Soldier" was not bad.

The europeans should have some pirate comics though don't know how good they are.
