Not really. Since, presumably, Heimdall's not Odin's son in Marvel's movie cosmology (like he was in the original Norse myths) we have no idea what their parents look like or how their appearances might have influenced their children's. They're not human, so there's really no reason to assume that human concepts of race apply to them or that their DNA passes done heritable traits according to the same genetic rules that ours do.

Well deserved review, though I didn't care for Sif spitting on Heimdall...

JIM continue's to be one of Marvel's best titles...

Schiti's artwork is fantastic. As long as they keep him on, I'll stick around, though there was a shocking dearth of monsters to illustrate in the second issue.

I just checked out some of Valerio Schiti's art online after reading that review. Looks like a hidden gem of a comic. I'm gonna go pick up the last two issues tomorrow.

l Volstagg’s daughter was hurt by her actions and in that sense Sif is very responsible for that (also hurting a defenseless child is not a very warrior-like attitude).

Brilliant artwork. Absolutely brilliant. And Immonen is holding her own as well. Great book!

I thought the last issue was ok, but this issue was amazing. Kathryn is building an extremely solid character on a fantastic journey. I picked up the last issue on a whim and enjoyed it enough to pick this one up obviously, but man this one was way above the last. I'm definitely looking forward to the next issue.

I liked this 2nd issue a lot more too (although I could have done with the sword tossing at Volstagg's daughter.) That said, Sif is pretty damn funny and cranky. I enjoyed Heimdall's "time out" too.

Still, I haven't seen anything resembling pure berserker though. I'll give this another couple of issues before deciding whether or trade wait or not. Schiti's artwork really makes this book, but the characterization is stepping up too.
