Simon Spurrier and Tan Eng Huat's "X-Men Legacy" continues to search for its own schizophrenic voice, even as Spurrier has found a great one for Legion himself.

what is going on with CBR's reviewers? Are they only mandated one title they're allowed to slag off?
What a Grinch.
It seems like this has become the CBR Reviewer punching bag.
I was mixed on the first two issues, but I really, really enjoyed this one. I get Legion's personality and his motivations, and now the whole Qortex thing makes sense. I felt like this was the first issue where I really got Legion, and the whole thing clicked for me. I'm excited for the next issue, because I feel like i know and like the character now. Specifically, his conflicted feelings about his father and his father's legacy were very interesting. I also like the touch of humor they've introduced.
"That's the thing about the Phoenix. There always has to be destruction... Before rebirth. " - Scott Summers
This has to be some kind of weird running joke, like a spiteful response to Spurrier's comments about CBR's weird first review of the book.
If you haven't given this book a try, and you like good comic books, you owe it to yourself to read the three issues of the series that have come out so far. This one is particularly great, because the first two set us up with Legion and the circumstances surrounding him, and this third one sets the direction.
Plus, Wolverine's X-Men look dumb (in a "good" way and not a poor writing way), except for Chamber. (Yes, Chamber is in this title.)

The Best There Is At What I Do
I'm really getting quite annoyed about these reviews. It's much better than they give it credit for. Just seems like they're jumping at the chance to knock something.
I was actually about to drop this because I can't afford to keep all the NOW! titles I've tried (and enjoyed)... But this makes me want to keep it even more, just to show my support. It's a good book and doesn't deserve this.
Avengers Arena is one of the best books in the shops right now, it's seriously amazing.

Kelly Thompson's just mad this book doesn't star her favourite feminist character Rogue anymore.
I agree with parts of the review. It's cluttered, unfocused and trying a little too hard to be offbeat. It's the Zooey Deschanel of the X-Men line.
What do you have against Zooey Deschanel?
Hear me X-men! No longer am I the woman you once knew! I am fire and life incarnate! Now and forever...
I AM PHOENIX!
She's an actress... Everyone needs shtick. Without one she wouldn't be memorable.

Must every review include some reference about them not liking the character? Just review the issue without inserting your personal musings about the your personal bias.
It's hard for me to listen to people not in my position. A caterpillar can't relate to what an eagle envisions.
