Gail Simone Is DC's "New" Batgirl Writer

I don't think Gail should have gone back. After how she was fired, after how DC have treated her (and Babs, not to mention other female characters), it seems scarily like an analogue for an abusive relationship. I don't think it's healthy for her to stay at DC, and really, it seems she's trying to be a pillar to hold the roof up whilst the current editors blow every single support. I think she should have taken flight and found somewhere else to work - her name could bring a huge following to Image Comics, for example.

It isn't about the quality of the title, or the story. It's never been about those things. It's about how DC treats its creators, and it does so badly. As far as I know, only Bluewater and Zenoscope have worse reputations right now.

I think Gail has been pretty upfront about the fact that the "higher ups" at DC have always treated her well. Her beef was seemingly only with this one particular editor.

I have to admit, I am sick of hearing about this. If the woman still has her job then great, but I don't want to hear anything more about it from her. It IS starting to come across as an ego looking for some attention stroking. What NEXT already? What is making it "surreal"? Uh-oh though, we have to stay tuned for another two or three days before she spills out a tweet. GOD, it has gotten bothersome.....

I just want to enjoy reading some freakin' comics, y'know? And do w/out all this ridiculous DRAMA. Is it so much to be able to enjoy what's supposed to be a harmless hobby w/out all this unneeded drama that keeps popping up w/the Batgirl and Barbara Gordon names?

Ms. Simone, seriously and I'm speaking as a FAN, maybe you can just keep this one to yourself? This crap keeps up and despite my enjoying the Batgirl title I'll wind up getting sick from being reminded adnauseum about all this drama and just drop the book anyways, kapeesh?
