I would say no, there are too many non-comicbook readers with power that would scream and wail at such a change because they somehow believe it's an deliberate political attack on their beliefs.

And the fact that they WILL be accused of tittilation, no matter how tastefully it is handled, is why it will never happen.
virtue untested is innocence
The difference is that Wonder Woman being gay, bi or pansexual is not only incredibly plausible, it almost makes more sense than her being heteronormative. I would be cool with it if it was well done, but I feel the odds of it being used for terrible fan service would be too high. Then again, Batwoman is great and has lesbian characters that don't serve as straight fantasy, so anything's possible.

the only thing I think would be a fan service is the fact Diana is known for her bondage history and many male fan would love to see her tying her girlfriend.
If we think about it, it makes perfect sense for Diana to be a lesbian.
If a girl grows in a society where lesbianism is the norm, OF COURSE she will become a lesbian.
Just like if any girl grows up in our society where heterosexuality is the norm. OF COURSE she will become heterosexual.

I don't know but somehow this just seems to suggest that being a strong powerful woman also means lesbian. I mean, do people wonder why isn't Etta Candy portrayed as a lesbian due to her traits?
It´s the internet.
Where the common belief is that all heterosexual women are secretly lesbians just one beer away from turning.
Or a hiccup.
it's serious? really? sexuality you born that way or not, some people take some time to discover their sexuality. Maybe she will enjoy lesbian sex or not.
Would be interesting this side of Wonder Woman, from a society that have only homossexuality to a society where she can discover straight relatioships.
Why is it always assumed that the only reason they don't do it is because they lack the guts to? I dunno, when its worded that way to me it comes across as saying that she should be a lesbian, which certainly is not the case. She can be whatever the writers want her to be.
