Default Will DC Ever Have the Guts to Make Wonder Woman a Lesbian?

I'm pondering would DC ever make Wonder Woman a lesbian? The character was built on the ideals of alternative sexual practices. She was a how to book of bondage and kinkin the golden age. Would DC ever make the move and have Wonder Woman a lesbian or bisexual? What would the fallout be? Would sales rocket? Could the public handle Wonder Woman like this?

The correct question should be, "why wouldn't Power Girl be kissing her?"

Maybe if Showtime produced a WW series. Otherwise, nope. Won't happen.

Fanboys wetdreams aside, this is a interesting question.
Would DC have the guts to do it? I don't know, maybe they would do it if it make it a good comercial move. I think it would be valid if there is a GOOD story behind that move.
But would be valid or a wise move? I don't think so. Which would be the justification for such move? The fact she lived in an island surrounded only with women living the only sexuality available? That would be a poor excuse, because that is saying that if you live with homosexual people, you would be homosexual. A lot of fundamentalists would happy agree and LGTB would be furious because intead helping their arguments (the fact you don't choose your sexual preferences), Wonder Woman would be saying than is conditioned by your environment.
If you take the angle that she only know about lesbian sex and then she discovers men, well, that would be interesting, if you take the more romantic approach. If you are going to go into details that would be something more for Vertigo, but only if Neil Gaiman writes her.

To me all the amazons are pansexuals and so is wonder woman . I don't mind but I don't want it to be because of the whole Paradise Island thing with an all female society but on real emotions. It also depends on whose writing her. I mean I wouldn't mind if she fell in love with a woman in the man world but you have to add details why and make her question is it because of my upbringing or love that I feel. It would make it interesting.

Will Dc Comics ever be gutsy enough to turn Wonder Woman into a fat man or give her a beard or a goiter? Don't see what's so inherently gutsy about making Wonder Woman or any other hetero character into a lesbian?

Why must people be ready to see this? When the Xena-Gabrielle romance failed to keep Xena Warrior Princess on the air, some fans complained it didn't work, because the World wasn't ready. Perhaps, a better question would be, "Do we want to see it?"
From the Golden Age of comics, the film short they don't want you to see... WONDER BOY LIVES!

question isnt so much will they have the guts, but whether or not when it is ultimately done for a while , it will be treated maturely or just as a fanboy bait. like everything else, it is how you do it. and lets face it, in comics ... sooner or later it will happen.

ultimately there is a great potential to it for a writer that can handle sexuality with more maturity than your average fratboy
