    At the time anyone who wasn't politically with us was against us. The Republican war hawks were discrediting anyone who spoke out in any way against any war related proposal put forth by the Bush administration. A politician was in very real danger of having their career ruined if they didn't toe the line. Your so-called "bi-partisan support" was based on intimidation and fear.

    My sister has the same problem, and the rest of us are at a loss as to explain it. She had a fairly good childhood and no traumatic experiences that we know of. She just cannot remember much at all from before high school.

    In other words they were spineless cowards, more interested in their own careers than in being real leaders.
