Why Wasn't Frank Cho put on Black Widow Instead of Wolverine?

I wish it was a Savage Land title, Shana, Ka-Zar, Zabu etc instead. I like Cho, great artist. Among the top 10 current for sure, not even sure it's debatable but I'll say it...imo.

However, since Wolverine and the title will not need my immediate sales cause plenty of others will just have to have it every month I can trade wait for this.

I would've picked up just a Savage Land or Black Widow book with Cho on it. I like to support the "risk" books monthly.

With Marvel flying high on the Avengers film, the Black Widow combined with Frank Cho would be a great match but as others have stated Cho has an affinity for Shanna. If they could get him to draw a Black Widow mini-series down the line that would be sweet if he wanted to take part in one (just the longer hair version this time please!). Personally regarding the Black Widow I would want a Brubaker/Deodato penned mini-series.

Shanna is the main character that I have wanted to see Frank Cho return to the most over the years. While it was cool that he added in Shanna for a small role in the New Ultimates, Cho doing a proper Shanna the She-Devil volume 2 will continue to be on my wish list to Marvel. He's drawing Shanna again so it's a win-win all around to me and looking forward to reading it in hardcover!
