Sorry for the lateness this week. You all know the drill.
DC: ASW ● A. Man ● Batgirl ● Batman ● Batwoman ● BoP ● E2 ● Flash ● Dial H ● JLD ● S Thing ● Wonder Woman
Marvel: Avengers ● C. Marvel ● Hawkguy ● Thor ● W&XM
Other: Saga
Read WW, Nightwing, RH&O, and BoP. Enjoyed them all for a variety of different reasons. WW was probably the most technically superior book, but Nightwing made me the most giddy while/after reading it.
Comics were happier before the Internet turned writing superhero stories into fruitless attempts to impress/entertain a small group of ppl who appear to hate comics and their creators.
Grant Morrison
Going with Sword of Sorcery this week. Solid world-building, nice bright artwork, and they synced up the timeline with Amy's appearance in Justice League Dark. The Beowulf backup came to a bit of an anticlimactic conclusion, but apparently the story will be picked up again in the future. I enjoyed most of my DC pulls this week. The "H'El on Earth" crossover is coming off a lot better than I thought it would, particularly in this week's Supergirl. They're not breaking any new literary ground, but everything flows nicely and fits with how the characters have developed over the last year.
Be a fan of the creators, not the characters.

I voted for Blue Beetle #15. I also read Justice League #15 and Aquaman #15 both better than Blue Beetle. I guess i will vote for one of them next week.
This was a good week. I read Wonder Woman, Sword of Sorcery, and Birds of Prey and enjoyed them all. The nod goes to Sword of Sorcery. It was simply a pleasure to read: engaging world, fun characters, and lovely art.
Pull list:
Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Worlds' Finest, My Little Pony, Sword of Sorcery, The Flash, Animal Man, Birds of Prey, Lone Ranger
Blue Beetle was so awesome, one of the best issues yet.
Sounding like a broken record... Wonder Woman, again.
Though I really enjoyed Red Hood, that was the best issue from the series in a while.
Sword of Sorcery would be neck and neck with those 2.
Including Marvel, the brilliant Thor: God of Thunder was incredible, maybe even my #1. This was an outstanding week overall.
Wonder Woman/Animal Man/Constantine/Green Arrow/Batman Inc/The Movement/Swamp Thing/Suicide Squad/Demon Knights/Thor/JIM/Red She-Hulk/New Avengers/Nova/Manhattan Projects/Revival/It Girl/Fatale
read Sword of Sorcery, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern.
i enjoyed all of them but Orion, eh, Wonder Woman wins.
I so wanted this to be the week I finally got to pick Nightwing. But RHatO was a better one issue comic. This is the first time I've ever voted for Lobdell, and I feel dirty.
There ain't no teens watching Teen Titans Go.
Supergirl was my top pick this week. It's the only chapter of the H'el on Earth crossover that I've been enjoying each month, which isn't surprising considering it's one of my favorite DC books in general.
Red Hood & the Outlaws was ok. I'm getting tired of tie-ins. The whole Joker angle feels forced. The book does a lot better when Lobdell is able to do his own thing (I really enjoyed the last arc with the team in space, for example). Granted, Lobdell may have requested to be part of the crossover, as opposed to being forced to be a part of it, but it doesn't take away from the banality of this issue.
Birds of Prey was uninspiring. Maybe I'm just too excited for Zub to take over in a few months, but the whole time I was reading it, I couldn't help but say to myself, "Is it over yet? Is it over yet? How about now?" Also, I'm hoping that Stryx has an actual personality, and isn't just a Katana clone.
I also bought DC Universe Presents and Young Justice, but I'm behind on those series, so I haven't read them yet.
Current favorites:
DC: Smallville, Supergirl, Detective Comics
Marvel: Ultimate X-Men, Scarlet Spider, X-Factor, Thor
Other: Saga, Angel & Faith, Buffy
Really enjoyable week all around. Sword of Sorcery wins for me thanks to some really compelling world building, which is making the series highly enjoyable despite moving slowly story-wise. Kudos also to Blue Beetle for really stepping up its game in recent issues, despite cancellation and having to shift story focus to lead up to Threshold. A shame there's only one more issue of that series to go.
Sword of Sorcery #3
Wonder Woman #15
Blue Beetle #15
Red Hood and the Outlaws #15
Young Justice #23
Read Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, and Batwoman.
Wonder Woman by far.
