Actually, all you have to do is see how many Disney comics are being produced now compared to how many was being produced when Boom had the license. Boom was producing several Disney titles monthly (The Muppets, Pixar characters, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and the “Disney Afternoon” series featuring DuckTales, Darkwing Duck, and Chip ‘n’ Dale Rescue Rangers, etc.). Marvel's Disney offerings have been sporadic at best, neglible at worst. Marvel did produce comics based on Tron and the Disney-owned CrossGen, but those were short-lived, only lasting a few issues each.

I think you're not taking into account company priorities. When Boom had the license their priority was to use them. Marvel and Disney's priorities are now different because there is no rush to publish.

Part of me believes if this wasn't true then Dark Horse would have came out a week ago when the news broke. They likely will get to publish some things in 2013 then be told to wrap whatever they plan by then.

Disney likely will trust Marvel's judgement when to use the Disney comics line . I don't doubt they perhaps are gonna likely publish the books at some point. Its about giving them a chance to survive for kids and I can understand they are going over things perhaps.

I've actually said that in other threads about this subject--that Marvel's main focus is on its own properties.

That and their just not gonna toss out properties and hope they swim . They likely will go over plans for a Disney line of books at some point and how to launch them to stay.

I agree on the first part, but disagree on the second. I don't think Marvel is going to do that much more with the Disney properties than they've already have. I think they'll push more of the Marvel properties that appear on Disney XD--like Ultimate Spider-man and the upcoming Avengers Assemble and Agents of S.M.A.S.H. The bulk of the Disney stuff will remain in the form of official newstand magazines and occasional comic book one-shots, IMO.

They aren't saying anything because Lucasfilm asked them not to.

Dark Horse on their facebook page:
Once again, in regards to all the rumors flying around, Dark Horse won't be announcing anything until after the 1st of the new year, per request of LucasFilm. Have fun speculating and stay tuned!
Doesn't exactly sound like something they would say if would they lose it, also two new ongoings in 2013, one was announced after disney's purchase of Lucasfilm , I don't know, it seems really stupid if they would lose the licence to announce new series.
