After all marvel has put retailers through delays from OMD/BND to Children's Crusade, if I recall they shorted the retailers on the death of Captain America, put them through price hikes and it is because of marvel that the retailers have to keep track of two preview catalogues. So I'm not sure that Mr. Wacker is very concerned about how much a retailer will loose because of me. If he is then I am sorry, but as I said this is the way I shop and I will do so until the lcs guy calls me out or puts up a sign.

I think people should just read the previews, then buy it based off of the previews. Most times (minus #700) you can tell whether it's going to be good or not...

I don't think there have been many stellar stories between "To Have and To Hold" (which was set in the BIB era) and "Dying Wish" (our current arc), break open the time capsule in a 100 years time and I don't think anyone's going to be singing songs of Carlie Cooper, Horizon Labs, or many other things devised by Slott and company, they're only bigged up because they're the present era, but over time I think the stories will age badly (hell some already have). There's really not much long-lasting substance to consider. The obnoxious over-defensive fanbase it has is also a turn-off

So, now that it's understood what was meant, does that mean it's no longer "wrong"...lol??

So, it's not the reading that is a problem, it's the length of time spent doing it?

Well, the length of time, and the intent involved, is what separates reading a page to get a feel for the story from reading the whole comic for free.

IMO, it all comes down to one simple thing, do you want to read a SM with or without PP in it?

    Yes - pick it up
No - donīt pick it up.

    It's a bit more complex.

A few one-shots and anthologies sold poorly, which indicates that there isn't much interest in something that just contains Spider-Man with Peter Parker.

But if the idea of Dan Slott and Ryan Stegman depicting the adventures of a post-Peter Parker Spider-Man appeals to you, you should pick up Superior Spider-Man.
