Since pretty much every damn hero in the MU has joined the an Avengers since the launch of NEW AVENGERS by Bendis and continuing to the present day with the current crop of Avengers books, Marvel should just change the title of this book (or one of the other Avengers books) to "AVENGING DEFENDERS". This way Marvel can finally put out a DEFENDERS book that MIGHT have a chance of lasting as long as the original DEFENDERS series. After all, for the last several years the AVENGERS have been written like the original DEFENDERS series.

Seriously, get over yourself. The roster doesn't have to be the same seven or eight people over and over again.

My only complaints on the issue are as follows:

Carol looked like a man at times. It definitely seems to have anorexia for being too thin.
Hulk is weird.

I don't like how Hulk looks either. It is kind of distracting.
I admit that Carol looks a bit manish but that might have been done on purpose. Others may disagree but I never pictured Carol as a beauty queen or a hot looking chick.

I Strongly Disagree on that (well... For ME Frank cho is the Definitive Ms Marvel Artist so thats to be expected) but i also disagree that she looks manish, i really liked how opena drew her short hair. id like to see how he draws her cap marvel outfit with the mask on now.


ONE small thing i did have a problem with how she was illustrated however is that Spiderwoman looked Bigger than Carol Phisicaly, i see carol as a babe, but i also see her as being Big and Phisicaly Imposing, like Steve Rogers female Equal Phisicaly. and i didnt like how skinny and ordinary she looked here.

yeah but she's also not supposed to look like a female version of Billy Idol or Sweet Dee from Always Sunny. she's marvel's premiere superheroine. it's like Jessica Jones has rubbed off on her.

Poor editing with the reasons for Cage and Strange not bing there. Bendis left with Cage giving a reason why he left. He left on his own terms there is no reason why he would suddenly be back and We all know Strange is in NA. Maybe that is what Tony meant with Bsy but still weak. I guess Spidey gets paid now. Also when were Carol, spider woman Logan and Spidey not Avengers that they needed to be recruited. Also I am not a Wasp fan but they never even asked her but Widow wasa must have? I know they want the movie line up and that is fine but a sentence why no wasp or Pym would be nice.

Also this bigger line up still seems smaller than the Avengers, NA an AA that was in place before. Assuming SA is staying around (not sure where that stands these days) that is mostly a wash. An 18 member team and UA is marginally bigger if at all.

A lot of them know his Id now. Most of the NA the FF, Cap knows and I assume IM would as well by now.

i'm enjoying it.. hickman won me over with his F4/FF run, and that started with crap art, so being that this is a joy to look at, and is slowly building, i'm excited..

Tony wasn't in on the reveal (and for very good reason), only most of Luke Cage's New Avengers (Luke, Jess Jones, Hawkeye, Wolverine, Carol, Mockingbird, Bucky).

It's just that Carol was sitting back and Jess was leaning forward.

They're practically the same height and build. Carol isn't any more physically imposing than a typical 5'11" woman is. And Jess is 5'10" (iow, not much difference).

If I was going to be pick something about that art that was disgusting, as far as Carol goes, it's that hair!!
