More recently, in Far Cry 3 a friend of the main character is implied to have been repeatedly raped and the perpetrator plans the same for the protagonist, never stopping to think prior to his agonizing death that cornering a man who hunts tigers with a knife in a small dark room with your willy out might be a bad idea.
Nevermind, not worth it.

Batting 1000 here.
Ok, how about this.
The people who develop Final Fantasy are not making Tomb Raider.
...
That do it?
Edit: In the same way Squareenix, a japanese company known for turn based rpgs, did not make the last Deus Ex game, a FPS.
I think they did the cut scenes or something, but they didn't make the actual game, because they don't make games like that.
Side note totaly unrelated to this, does any japanese developer make first person shooters?
Nothing's gonna happen without a warning
Ive never been a HUGE Tomb Raider fan, but thought the last 2 games were good...I was hoping they would continue that story, but id give this chance

Sucks 200 character limit.
I'm not saying the recent ones are bad but the last one I've played that I'd say was pretty good was Final Fantasy 7. The rest, while visually stunning, isn't enough to make me want to go out and buy them.

Yeah. While I don't necessarily have a problem with a particular FF setting being used more than once (though Ivalice was the only setting I'd personally care about going back to), it seems like SE's only doing it so they can quickly crank out spinoffs/sequels and it shows. People used to go crazy when a new FF was announced, now it's like, "goddamn, another one?"
They really need to step back and let the franchise breathe for a bit.
