i would love to see dynamite do The Avenger, he's one of my favorite pulp characters.

Dynamite has shown with the Shadow, the Spider, and now with the upcoming Black Bat, that they don't quite get these characters. Not as badly as DC didn't get them, but still.

We don't want "Dynamite's version" of them. We want the real thing. Over the years, the Phantom has been published by several comic book companies, but we don't speak of the "Charlton version" or the "Gold Key version" or the like. He's the Phantom. Its the same character.

Why can't these companies get that with these classic characters. Stop scr*wing them up!!

Let me second or 3rd or 4th that comment. Dynamite does a great job with these titles! Flash Gordon Zeitgeist is the best take I have read on that character...ever. The only knock are the occasional delay's, but they put out some fantastic properties. Would love to see these guys show up in Masks one day.

Since First Wave wasn't trying to use those characters in the first place it wasn't a loss. The loss was shooting themselves in the foot by releasing ongoings that took place after the extremely delayed introductory crossover. And not doing the demanded Batman series along with it.
