Seemed kind of pointless to include him without at least a little bit more.
So what? Bane in Batman and Robin was in name only as well but it still counts as his movie debut.

When I said he was whipped, I was talking about how he was portrayed in Batman & Robin, not DKR. He followed Poison Ivy like a lost puppy in that. DKR however? I couldn't have asked for more out of Hardy's performance, he took one of my favorite comic book characters & IMO, made him even MORE impressive. Bane's skills in DKR were plenty formidable & he just as easily could've stood against Batman by himself, but you're right, they were both vital factors because their plan had such a wide scope & needed to attack on multiple levels in order to succeed. Alone, it would've been much harder to accomplish for either one of them. So I guess the right question to ask is would he have launched a campaign to destroy Gotham & Bruce if weren't for Talia?

I like that Zsasz was "in name only" even though he had everything that makes Zsasz that guy, which is just that he's a crazy killer who hatches scars into his skin to record killings. That's not in name only, that's the actual character. They just don't make a big deal of him.
