Bane vs. Thanos

Bane has the Infinity Gauntlet, no prep.

Thanos has 1 week prep.

Does Bane finally win? Or is Thanos fast enough, smart enough, and prepped out the ass with enough stuff to get the Gauntlet and win anyways?

Wouldn't have enough of an idea of how to use the Infinity Gauntlet to take advantage of it long enough before Thanos kills and him and takes the gauntlet for himself.

Thanos has some undefined, but relatively high degree of mod-ruled superhuman speed as I remember.

Therefore, Bane gets killed in any of a zillion ways before he can use his omnipotence to squish Thanos.

As Thanos noted, even Nebula, a giant raging idiot as far as using the Gauntlet, took out a cosmic being hit parade with the gauntlet. Bane's fine.

Thanos' daughter, whose name escapes me now, got ahold of the gauntlet during the Infinity Gauntlet mini. With no prior knowledge of how to use it, Thanos' intelligence, or anything like that, she was able to fight off the entire cosmic kill squad of deities who were trying to overwhelm her based on her inexperience. It took a moment for her to wipe the floor with all of them.

That's slightly exaggerating it. It took her long enough that Thanos and Adam Warlock had the time to formulate a strategy.

That said, yeah, Bane should win this just fine.

Thanos had most of the Gauntlet shut down at the time.

...Mind you, Mephisto almost took it off of him and might have succeeded had he not announced his presence by gloating, but that was in the middle of every cosmics present attacking Thanos, so it's not really relevant.

Though I suppose, with prep, if Bane got the gauntlet only at the start of the fight, it's possible Thanos might be able to steal it in the instant that supercosmicky knowledge kicks in and distracts the wielder.
