Did Emil survive the .1? Because if he did, I think he would be good as a supporting character. I also can't help thinking that they could build up a romance between Morbius and (Felicia Hardy) Black Cat, after TAS.
Nightcrawler, Jean Grey, Gwen Stacy, Peter Parker, Professor X, Mar-Vell, Richard Rider- Bring Them Back!!!

Technically, Emil is alive...sorta. In another one-shot, it was revealed that Baron Blood gad resurrected him as a real vampire to taunt Morbius. Even if Keatinge doesn't want to use them right away, its been a long established truth in the MU that true vampires hate Morbius because they feel that he's contaminated their ranks. And Emil hates him just because...

As for the Black Cat...yes! The old animated show was my main gateway to comics! And just think about how an unhealthy relationship that would be!

why was this topic moved to general marvel and back to the spider-man section?

also Keatinge seems to have no idea on what this book is really about no offense honestly it's just that he keeps saying the premise is about morbius being a outcast that tries to do good only to cause horrible things to happen nothing outside of that

I think Morbius stuff is supposed to go in the Marvel section, but now I really don't know.

As for Keatinge, I think the whole creative team sorta got this dropped on them. They were all prepared for Thanos, and then that got screwed over. I did read that, pretty much, Keatinge wants this to be a "super-hero" book, mostly because you can do a lot with super-heroes.

but here's the thing Morbius isn't a super-hero that's why he's different he's not a super-hero and treating him as such will only result in failure

I don't know. It could be interesting. I mean, Morbius can fly, he has super-strength. He got his powers from a freak lab-accident. He should be a super-hero, but he's not. He's ugly, he scary, and he replenishes his strength by drinking blood. Because of that, he's been shut out of the super-hero community. He feels shut out, even when he isn't, like with the Mmidnight Sons or the Legion.

Him being almost a "saint" to the outcast who can't even find a home among the Monsters or the X-Men could work.

but ignoring the fact monsters do exist in the marvel universe is just going to make morbius seem like a pathetic twilight attempt

Ok, all true comic geeks know Morbius was one of the first mopy vampires. And unlike Twilight, he has every reason to be. He's ugly, he's genuinely unlucky, and he has to kill people because of how messed up his brain chemistry is.

And Keatinge has said that he plans on using at least some of the monsters, just not right away. I di agree with him, in some ways. How do you really show how strange Morbius's predicament is? Don't throw him in with the Living Mummy and a werewolf, out him out in the streets of a New York slum. Take everything away from him, his costume, his allies, and show just him. Morbius, as 699.1 points out again , is very much a jerk. Is he a good guy? Yes, but throughout his life, he's made hasty decisions, not worrying about the consequences until they smacked him in the face.

To really, really show-case this fatal flaw, you need to get him into a more normal setting where you aren't distracted by the rest of the inherent strangness of the MU.

it's just this book won't survive if it's just morbius running around and feeling all mopey and depressed....the fact that nothing has been said about the title outside of "Morbius as a outcast" makes you worry about it's future

Well, we don't know what it's going to be. But yeah, writers usually have more information out by now.I don't, maybe this is just how Keatinge is?
