The second volume of the Flash was pretty consistent in terms of quality. Issues #0, 1-225, 1, 000, 000 were all great, the rest not so much.
Oh and hi, Jake. Haven't seen you in a while :p

A lot of what Carey Bates did on Flash during his long run was just plain weird. But very readable in my opinion.

Well, the completist in me said I needed to read Rebirth before jumping into the Brightest Day series. We shall see how much I enjoy it.

    Yes, this.
What a great 20 year run with writers spending years at a time, telling great stories.

    Tired but good.

I started Flash: Rebirth last night and its definitely interesting if a bit dark for what I expect from Flash.

Ah Rebirth. Not a great place to start with, though the retcons don't bother that much :p

Well count me as someone who enjoyed Flash: Rebirth. I very much liked the darkness of it as well. I've noticed a lot of replies saying they didn't enjoy it, but don't feel bad if you do. I personally thought it was awesome, and Rebirth is generally considered a very popular and successful book. A lot of the criticism came from people fearing that the return of Barry would cheapen Wally West.

To balance that point, I personally think it`s the worse Flash story I`ve ever read. And those include Barry Allen`s trial and the infamous "Mopee" issue.
