Wondy has her moments, but she's gotten wrecked by superman plenty of times. I'll agree she's more tied to the JLA than Thor is to avengers though. But she's rarely/never the center of an event, and up until recently she was rarely assigned top talent.

But I hope this title eventually gives you the Thor showings you'd like to see, as impossible as that may be.

You now what Whip, it's not even really about Thor's poor showings in the battle. I would have taken that if they say included Thor in the discussion Tony and Steve had about the future direction of the Avengers. At least then new readers would at least get to know that this guy is an important part of the Avengers and is not the resident silent, brick jobber as anyone new reading issue 1 would have thought he was with his one monosyllabic 'Pfft'.

I would still have winced at the Hulk sucker punch ( can't lie) but i would have accepted it.

You do realize that Thor helped them recruit several of the new members.
    Wonder Man > Wonder Woman

All of entertainment can be boiled down to either Sex or Death

No amount of modern revisionism by the vocal internet minority can change the good work Bendis has done.

Well we saw recruitment panels for pretty much everybody besides Cap Universe, Hyperion, and Smasher. It'd be cool if Thor was the one to recruit Hyperion.

I do agree with you that Thor should have been included early on, even if it was only to say that he trusted the 2 of them to form the team and to call him when it's time to assemble.

yes, just little touches like that. Does not have to be great big ones like taking out the villains by himself. It's why i likened Thor to Wonder Woman. There is no way Batman ( stark) and Superman ( Cap) would make any big JLA decisions without her input.

Thor really is getting smacked around way too much lately. Bronze Age 1970s Thor would never have been knocked aside so easily.
What does Thor's fight with Superman in JLA/Avengers have to do with any fight with any of the various Hyperions? From what I've seen, only King Hyperion is on Superman's level (pre-New 52 or New 52) and the jury's still out on this version of Hyperion.

All we can say about Hickman's run is "wait and see" with Thor. One would think he's assembling his own branch of Avengers, so I'll be patient and see where Hickman goes with this. This first arc is dedicated to elevating the B-listers. Seems like every future arc will have each one of the "Big 6" recruiting the rest of the members. I generally like the concept but it'll take grand execution for it to be plausible.

We have already seen a flashback with Apocalypse and Thor.
    Hope thor will shine there.
I reallly hope he gives Apocalypse such a Humilating defeat that he had to go back to the Lazarus chamber to recover for hundreds of years. Also giving us a reason were he has been during te roman times. It was THOR.
And that Thor was the reason that he never clashed with the Avengers.

This flashback alone gives new history to Apoclaypse.

Now it states on wiki that is:
Apocalypse now enters states of suspended animation, while he waits for mutants to become more common, leaving Clan Akkaba and Ozymandias to act in his stead while he sleeps. Apocalypse has some history of having fought the race of godlike immortals known as Eternals, primarily the members Ikaris and Sersi, having been referred to as their "Ancient Nemesis".

So 'waiting for mutants" will be 'more ppl with power'.

Also to be on topic just hope they will not clash soon so it will be a mystery.
    I like both characters.

I'm excited about this arc. Remender is taking the book in interesting, fantastic directions it seems. I'm also hoping that it's Young Thor that gets the upper hand, because you're right, this is both new ground for Young Thor and Apocalypse. I wouldn't even mind if it were a standstill. Thor just took quite a licking from Gorr in his solo title (even though he survived it), it'd be cruel to him to suffer another beating after surviving an incredibly powerful villain in Gorr.

I saw Logan in a panel in Acuna's preview art, in Medieval England I'm assuming? I'm wondering what happens in UA which has them travel through time. I do love the idea of breaking new ground by having two really old characters like Thor and En Sabah Nur interact 2,000 years ago.

You know, when you put it like that...
