I'm like the Buried Alien, I roll with it. But I go back when I want to feel nostalgia. Which is honestly quite often.

Either. Although I still think it's too early to choose.

This would have been a good thread for a poll.

I wish I could just cherry pick elements of the post and pre Flashpoint universes to make the perfect one.

Can`t really say; old universe was broken and needed a reboot. New universe is not, though, the reboot I hoped for, mostly.

Old universe. No interest in the reboot.

Old DCU. Honestly, I haven't enjoyed DC at all since the reboot.

Was it? I'm fine with the reboot, but I'm not sure I could point out any brokenness in the "old" universe. At least, not any brokenness that doesn't still exist in the New.

I don't know if it was *broken*, but it had been feeling a bit tired and threadbare for a while.

The responses are as predictable as they are sad.

Before the reboot Batgirl and Batman Inc were the only books I was reading. It had gotten horrible.

I liked the reboot at first, but now I'm realizing most the books are at best mediocre. I can count DC's good writers on one hand.

    That's basically my position, too.

Oh dear God must we do this again?
    It doesn't matter what the writer, artist, or editor had in mind when they created it, or what they said in an interview;
all that matters is what is on the page.

The EARTH-ONE series of books aren't set in the old DCU, though. Basically, they're what used to be called ELSEWORLDS (out of continuity) books.

It's all the same to me...
Even if they hadn't done a reboot then it would have been the old universe that would be editorised to death by Harras.
'The marquis. Well, you know, to be honest, he seems a little bit dodgy to me.'
'Mm,' she agreed. 'He's a little bit dodgy in the same way that rats are a little bit covered in fur."
