Just because some republicans and dems like to pretend the other side does not exist or automaticly delegitimise their opponents on moral ground (dems are hippies, republicans want to kill the poor) does not mean that the two sides don't exist. As a matter of fact i enjoy political diversity.

Do you need it spelled out for you? The "cold dead heads" rhetoric? The, "we need our assault rifles by our 2nd amendment right to form a militia against the corrupt government" mentality? That's the NRA's whole schtick these days. That's what they tell their followers, of course. But all they want from them is "keep buying more guns, in greater numbers, for a civil war that we're duping you into believing is coming.
Crazy thing is, when militants have crossed a line and been taken down by the government, like say, Ruby Ridge, or Waco... Wayne LaPierre went out of his way for demonizing the government afterwards. As in, those who want civil war with the government are aces, in his book. (That made Bush 41 quit the NRA, BTW). Hell, their current president, Jim Porter refers to the actual civil war as the "War of Northern Aggression", and advocates the use of guns, not for personal protection, not for hunting, but to "fight tyranny".

George Bush was an oppurtunist who did not belive in anything all he cared about was power, i doubt him quiting means anything. i am not familar enough with the US civil war to comment on it in meaningfull way.
In case of an emergency.Do you need it spelled out for you? The "cold dead heads" rhetoric? The, "we need our assault rifles by our 2nd amendment right to form a militia against the corrupt government" mentality?
A civil war would be highly unlikely unless the US government really becomes uberevil against their own citizens. It's just rhethoric with wery ittle effect. No member of the recent mass shootings was part of gun culture. They were loners who went nuts. That's what they tell their followers, of course. But all they want from them is "keep buying more guns, in greater numbers, for a civil war that we're duping you into believing is coming.

Ah, the "All mass shooters are all just nuts" lie the NRA would like you to believe. Take a look for yourself, it seems to be a pretty homogenous mixture of "crazy", and "not crazy", but it's pretty safe to assume the diagnosis for someone who wants to inflict massive amounts of death is. Some of them have pretty obvious motives.
Note that those statistics usually omit anti-government domestic terrorists. That may have something to do with the fact that they often utilize bombs first, have body counts if they start a shooting under four, often because they don't just open fire on civilians and target the police, who are armed and take them down immediately.
I just want to be clear, here... you're telling me that the stronger anti-government, " we need the 2nd amendment for fightin' tyranny" rhetoric the NRA's been pushing the past 15 years doesn't produce a mass shooter, and it won't? Like, you can't see this escalating to that point, whatsoever? The Glenn Beck fans and nutjobs are just huffing and puffing, and don't really mean anyone any harm?
Try again. It just doesn't make the paper because they're normally stupid enough to fail at putting up a higher body count.
EDIT: Oh, I should have scrolled down. The list of anti-government domestic terrorist failures is bigger than I thought.

Voted no. I have no interest in handing over this right to anyone. Now, I personally don't drink, so go ahead and ban alcohol. Probably would save more lives anyways than banning guns. Or, just accept that with freedom and liberty comes a bit of risk.
